Welcome Back, Team Philippines

Psalm 115:11
Not unto us, O LORD, not unto us, but to Your name give glory, because of Your mercy, because of Your truth.

James 1:17
Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning.

Team Philippines arrived at LAX on Wednesday, June 16th at 8pm. Even after a 13 hour flight, the team was still very excited about what the Lord had done in the Philippines. Thanks to all of you for your prayers and support, we truly felt the prayers of the saints back at home. The Lord was glorified, the gospel was shared, and the believers were encouraged, that includes us too. One of the greatest works was what was done in our own lives. We will never be the same, and we give God all the glory.

CCSB with YWAM ministries @Tondo Manila Tuberculosis Ministry/Home Visitation

.

The YWAM Balut Ministry reaches out to the residents of Smokey Mountain. Some live in the Permanent Housing areas, which we would call the "Projects". Some live in the Temporary Housing which would consist of four walls and a roof and some lived adjacent to the dumpsite.
Team Philippines had the privilege of visiting and praying for those individuals that were involved with YWAM. It was very humbling experience for the team, we were to share the love of Christ with people who were literally living not paycheck to paycheck, but rather living day to day. This description can only give you a glimpse of what these people encounter on a daily basis.

CCSB Philippines Team from LAX - Landing safely to Manila then to Tondo Smoky Mountain Ministry

We arrived at Manila International Airport at 5:55am on Tuesday morning. And we were welcomed by the 80 degree humidity. After settling in at the YWAM Balut Center. Our team headed on a tour of the YWAM Balut Office, the Permanent Housing (at one time the location of the dumpsite )and the current dumpsite. For some of us it was a bit overwhelming to see so many people sharing such a small area and living in extreme conditions of poverty. We ask that you pray for the staff at YWAM and the people of Smokey Mountain.

Practicing, Puppeting and Praying for the Philippines

Mabuhay!
Literally, it means to live or thrive. "Buhay" means life in Tagalog. It might suggest to someone to have a good life. It is usually used as a greeting, such as "Welcome" or "Hello".
Here are the guys, James, Naz (above) Jose and Jorge (below) waiting for the turn to practice their parts for the role, can you tell who is really enjoying their roles.
